WYG Hosts Summer Festival

dsc_0260_webresizedA steamy Saturday in July found us celebrating the summer harvest with a Friend and Family Fun Day at the WYG! This second annual event drew over 75 friends and neighbors out to enjoy our new Nature Explore Classroom, learn about our new honey beehives through interactive demos, and share tasty foods prepared from the garden by our high school summer interns. Live music, face-painting and sprinklers added to the delight!

A special thanks goes out to all the partners and volunteers who helped make this day possible, including food donors Glut Food Co-op , Honest Tea , Mom's Organic Market, Yes! Organic Market , Tryst , and Whole Foods . We appreciate your support!
