There is an endless variety of ways you can directly help the Washington Youth Garden serve our program participants and our local DC community. This program simply would not exist without our volunteers and contributors, so we have different service options to meet most schedules and budgets.

Volunteer

We always need extra hands to assist with garden upkeep, programs, special projects, and events. Whether you have a regular time open each week or would like to help with a specific event, please click on the volunteer form on the left to let us know of your interest. We'd love to have you join us!

If your schedule doesn't allow you to join us during our hours of operation, your tax-deductible donation would directly support our programs and help us fulfill our mission and goals. Join Our Team

We are currently fully staffed, but we will post any employment opportunities on our website should we have any openings.  We do hire interns each summer to help us with the growing season and our summer programs, so please consider working for the Youth Garden next season.

Wish List

Throughout the year, we have a need for a variety of tools and supplies, and this list changes accordingly.  If you have any extras of these supplies or would like to fund the purchase of new supplies, we are currently in need of the following items:

Tomato cages (metal preferred)
Fence materials
Utility tractor with dumping capability
