Support the Washington Youth Garden!
Existing Washington Youth Garden supporters have promised to donate $7,000-- but  only if we can match this amount in donations from you and other supporters by the end of the year. Help us meet our match by giving today! Your donation will be matched dollar for dollar until we meet our goal!

Thank you Black's Family Foundation!

It was a cloudy day, but the volunteers were energetic, the food was delicious, and the tournament was a fun one.  Black's Family Foundation's inaugural Kitchen to the Pin Golf Classic raised $21,000.00 for the Washington Youth Garden:

And the other good news?  The foundation rounded the donation up to an even $30,000.00.  THANK YOU!

About the Event: Black’s Family Foundation, the charitable arm of Black Restaurant Group, partnered with the Washington Youth Garden, a program of Friends of the National Arboretum. The Foundation was established in 2010 to raise money for the Children’s National Medical Center’s diabetes care complex after Jeff and Barbara’s son Simon was diagnosed with diabetes. Black’s Family Foundation seeks to improve their local community by investing in the charities and community organizations that make the most impact. After learning about the Washington Youth Garden and their mission to provide education and outreach programs to nearly 4,500 DC youth, families and educators, Black’s decided to support their programs through a partnership in their inaugural Kitchen to the Pin Tournament. The Washington Youth Garden’s urban gardening initiatives align with Black’s ethos of supporting local agriculture and sourcing from local farms whenever possible.
