Strolling Supper 2018

We believe deeply in the power of healthy food and the natural world to awaken the spirit, restore well-being, and fully engage children in the act of learning. Our intentionally designed garden programs make learning fun, tactile, and memorable for youth.

Washington Youth Garden nurtures curious minds and healthy bodies by connecting youth to the land, food, and each other

Another Successful Strolling Supper

142 people joined us at the Washington Youth Garden for our annual Strolling Supper. The goal of the event was to share the beauty and impact of Washington Youth Garden programs through creating an immersive garden experience.

Our guests wandered through the garden, sampling fresh recipes made with garden produce, enjoyed live music from Off the Rails, sipped herbal libations from Republic Restoratives and Right Proper, and were surrounded by the scents, sounds, and tastes of the garden. We had a wonderful time celebrating with our community of supporters - volunteers, Green Ambassadors, teachers, and donors!

We believe that our work is stronger and more effective when we build together. Please help Washington Youth Garden connecting children with nature by donating today! Your donation will ensure our garden programs are available for kids all over the city.

We can’t do it without you! Thank you!

We believe learning sticks when students are able to explore. We create engaging garden spaces that ignite the senses and inspire young minds to observe, discover, and ask more question.

Donate now to support children in experiencing “aha” moments at Washington Youth Garden!

“I never eat vegetables but this sorrel is my new vegetable”

“You can eat plants AND they taste good!”
